Reiki I | The Foundations
So honored to share with you these teachings and practices which have been passed down, teacher to student, since the mid 1800s.
Truly, the greatest challenge in working with this level of Reiki is to keep it simple and take the time to build a relaxed and reliable practice for yourself.
You may find yourself, like me, drawn to always be seeking more, discovering more, studying more.. wanting to learn it all. And while I fully encourage you to follow your interests and get as nerdy as you like, from my direct experience and that of many others, I know it is fundamentally important to have a system you can fall back on, so to speak, when life becomes complicated. When we feel overwhelmed, burned out, confused, and in times of personal transitions and transformations. When we don't know "what we need" or "how to help".
Reiki I covers the elemental aspects of the system and is necessary to complete for those who wish to become Reiki practitioners, which happens after completing level II. That said, there is absolutely no obligation to progress to level II, and not all who take Reiki I II and III courses have any desire to become practitioners. Many choose this for themselves and to support their loved ones.
That said, I do share in the Reiki I videos some techniques that are a more related to the teachings of level II. The purpose is to give you some practices to begin exploring if you so choose as, in reflection, I would have loved to have these at my fingertips when I was beginning my Reiki journey.
